Jan. 20, 2015 - Temsa HD Vip coach delivered to Metro Tourism
The first Temsa HD Vip coach has been delivered to Metro Tourism, one of the largest tourism and transport organizations in Turkey. The luxury touring vehicle is part of an order for 75 Temsa HD VIP coaches with 41+1 seats and 2+1 seating. With the Temsa HD Vip the fleet of Metro Tourism has nearly reached 700 vehicles. Temsa Global manufactures and distributes buses and coaches with its own brand in Turkey and international markets. The annual production capacity amounts to 11,500 vehicles (4,000 buses and coaches plus 7,500 light trucks) at its Adana production plant in South Turkey.
Jan. 16, 2015 - A VDL Futura coach for PSV Eindhoven
Players from PSV Eindhoven, a sport club from Eindhoven, Netherlands, will travel on a VDL Futura FHD2-139 coach. The vehicle has been delivered on January 15, 2015 to BBA Tours B.V./de Mol-Pelikaan which will provide the transport for PSV for the coming five years. The three-axle coach with a length of 13.9 metres is equipped with a kitchen at the back with all the comforts, 220 volt sockets at all the seating positions, VIP tables with USB connections. Players can also watch digital television on various LCD screens. The Futura team coach is fully decked out in PSV style. A light-hearted campaign on Facebook offered PSV supporters the chance to win a place for their name on the rear side of the coach. The response to symbolic support PSV each trip was overwhelming with over 6.000 reactions. This has resulted in 1,500 names of supporters mentioned on the rear side of the coach.
Jan. 5, 2015 - Innovative electric mega bus by Solaris
A mega class bus of 24 metres in length, powered by electric motors and charged by an outside source of energy or through fuel cells mounted on the bus. This innovative prototype of a bi-articulated electric bus is part of a joint project carried out by Solaris Bus & Coach S.A., Warsaw University of Technology and Poznan University of Technology. The total volume of the project is nearly EUR 3 million. The implementation was planned from December 2012 to November 2015. However the Polish manufacturer intends to extend the project for a further year. The 24-metre Solaris will be based on the new version of the Urbino family premiered at the IAA exhibition in September 2014.
Jan. 5, 2015 - Solaris electric with fuel cell range extender
Solaris Bus&Coach delivered the first of the two Urbino 18.75 electric bus with fuel cell range extender to the German operator Hochbahn based in Hamburg. The vehicles are equipped with 120 kWh batteries as the main energy provider to the drive system. They will be charged by Ballard 101 kW fuel cells during operation. The fuel cells are used only when 100% of output is required, which significantly increases their durability. The bus will be fuelled with hydrogen at night in the depot. Battery charging cycles will be preprogrammed so it will be ready to cover 300 km per day.
